Women’s League Institutes

Starting in 1977, Women’s League reinforced its commitment to adult Jewish
education by joining forces with the faculty and graduates of the outstanding
institutions of Jewish learning associated with the Conservative Movement: The
Jewish Theological Seminary (New York City), Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies (Los
Angeles) and Schechter Institute (Jerusalem), to present semester-long, college-level
courses for its members and their guests. Hosted by regions across the country,
these programs became hallmarks of quality, sophisticated and accessible adult
education.

The Covid-19 pandemic, starting in 2019, was responsible for some of the institutes
changing to online courses allowing for participation from wider geographic areas.
Some were discontinued.
