Justice & Judaism: Community Organizing in the Conservative Movement by Daniel May and Peter Drier won second place for excellence in feature writing, and When It Doesn’t Work by Joanne Palmer won first place in the personal essay category.
More than 30 representatives from the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, Women’s League for Conservative Judaism, and the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs met for a Shabbaton at the Pearlstone Retreat Center outside Baltimore from March 6 to 8.
