WL Reads: “Displaced Persons: Stories” by Joan Leegant

Sunday, January 12, 2025
4:00 pm EST - 5:15 pm EST

[This Program is scheduled on Eastern Time Zone]

WL Reads

Mark your calendars for a special appearance by award-winning author Joan Leegant who will speak to us about her stunningly timely story collection, “Displaced Persons: Stories”, which shines a light on American Jewish life and Israel, especially relevant in these times. “Displaced Persons” won the national New American Fiction Prize, chosen out of 500+ submissions.

Joan is a passionate speaker who loves engaging with audiences. Come for an eye-opening conversation about the creative process, writing about Israel, and what it means to be coming out with a Jewish book today in this climate of anti-Israel sentiment.

Read along with your sisters and join WL Reads for a discussion with Joan Leegant on Sunday, January 12th at 4:00 pm Eastern Time. Even if you haven’t had the opportunity to read the book by then, join us anyway. It will definitely whet your interest.
