Shoshana grew up in small Abayudaya Jewish community in Eastern Uganda. She is currently a rabbinical student at Hebrew Union College. In 2022, her book “The Very Best Sukkah: A Story Fromm Uganda” was published. It is about the holiday of Sukkot and the joyful way it is celebrated  in her community of origin.
