Why choose Women’s League Individual Membership? Because connection matters. Because Judaism is a central thread in my life. Because women are stronger when we lift one another up.
I’m a rabbi’s kid who knew early on that I didn’t want to follow the family path into the rabbinate or the cantorate—roles held by my grandfather and my brother—but I have always loved being Jewish. I cherish the traditional melodies of Kol Nidrei as much as the contemporary sounds of Debbie Friedman, Rick Recht, and AGEz. I love singing, whether in a choir, as a soloist, or simply as part of the congregation on Shabbat. I find joy in preparing a Seder table, cooking for guests, and belting out “Who Knows One?” with family and friends.
Although I’m not a member of a local synagogue, the gift of a WL Individual Membership from my mother, whom I’ve watched dedicate years to this organization, opened a door I didn’t realize I needed. My professional life is entirely secular, with no natural connection to faith or Jewish community. WLCJ fills that gap. It gives me a place to learn, to celebrate, and to stand alongside other Jewish women who are committed to strengthening one another and nurturing the next generation.
If you’re seeking a space to explore your spirituality, deepen your Jewish identity, or simply connect with women who share your love of tradition, learning, and community, WLCJ offers a home where you can truly belong.
