Towards the conclusion of this week’s Torah reading, Parashat Chukat, we read that as the children of Israel make their way to the Land of Israel, they interact with many different types of people who are living in the area, such as the Canaanites and the Amorites. The People of Israel have always lived in a land surrounded by other nations. Have you ever looked in the back of the Etz Hayim Torah and Commentary to see the color maps of the Land of Israel during the time of the Torah? It is a great resource. Am Yisrael Chai! The People of Israel Live!
