Jewish involvement in the U.S. Civil Rights movement helped create fundamental changes in this country. Women’s League traveled on March 11-13, 2024 and learned about the brave freedom fighters and toured significant Civil Rights sites in Georgia and Alabama. Sites included the Rosa Parks Museum in Montgomery, Alabama, the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama, and many more!
These first-hand experiences allowed us to explore issues of race and racism, and the legacy of the Civil Rights movement. As we traveled and reflected together as a Women’s League community, we returned with more knowledge on how each of us can make an impact going forward.
Here are some photos of our journey together.
