Elder Care – Nursing Homes (1976)

Statistics show that a considerable percentage of the occupants of nursing homes are Jewish. Many complaints have been voiced about the inadequate care given to residents in these homes. We deplore these conditions and applaud the efforts that have been made to rectify them.

Women’s League for Conservative Judaism urges:

  1. Sisterhood women to cooperate with other groups, both Jewish and non-Jewish, to support regulatory legislation which would safeguard the proper operation of all such facilities;
  2. The personal involvement of Sisterhood women through regular visits to these homes and through the provision of religious, educational, and cultural programs.
