Special Torah Fund 80th Celebration Speaker

In celebration of the 80th year of the Torah Fund Campaign, we are fortunate enough to have a special speaker scheduled for a virtual presentation on Tuesday, November 15th at 1 p.m. Central time (2 p.m. Eastern time).

Rishe Groner (pronounced Ree-Sha), a Jewish Theological Seminary 5th-year rabbinical student will share her experiences with us in what should be an enlightening and enjoyable presentation via Zoom.

She is a writer, ritual facilitator, and spiritual educator intent on bringing ecstatic, embodied Jewish experiences to spiritual seekers.

Born to a Chabad-Chassidic family in Melbourne, Australia, Rishe is now studying at the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York, where she expects to graduate with rabbinic ordination and a Masters in Jewish Thought in 2023.

She previously served as rabbinic intern and Director of Education at the Beacon Hebrew Alliance in the Hudson Valley, NY, and as chaplain intern this past summer at Vassar Brothers hospital in Poughkeepsie. She is the founder of TheGene-Sis.com and writes weekly emails from a feminist, spiritual perspective and publishes an occasional podcast called Just Pray.

She is currently the student interim rabbi at Congregation Beth Ohr in Bellmore , Long Island, NY.
