September 30 Message

“I hope that in this year to come you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re doing something.” – Neil Galman

Shabbat Shalom and L’Shana Tovah!

I would like to take this opportunity, as we enter the high holiday season, to wish each of my “sisters” a year filled with health, happiness, love and peace. I thank you for all that you do for your sisterhoods, for your communities and for Women’s League for Conservative Judaism throughout the year. You have each made my life richer by your friendship, the work that you do networking Conservative Jewish women and what we have learned and experienced together.

This week I have the amazing opportunity to travel with Central Great Lakes Region president, Edna Schrank. She drove through traffic and rain all week long, but it was well worth it! We met with seven sisterhood presidents, in her home, and we chatted, shared ideas, and they came away with a connection that will continue. We visited sisterhoods in the Chicago area, met with several of our individual members at their sisterhood in Elgin, IL and ended our travels with lunch with lovely members of the sisterhood in Milwaukee. Edna and I were doing what we love most…going out and meeting our “sisters”! Please check out my Facebook page for some of the many pictures that we took.

From our family to yours, wishing you the best of things for this coming year,

L’Shanah Tovah,
Carol
