Women’s League, together with the Schechter Institute for Jewish Studies, the Masorti Movement, the Jewish Federation of Chicago, and the Dorot Foundation, is delighted to announce the twelfth annual Masorti Women’s Study Day, to be held at the Schechter Institute in Jerusalem on June 17, 2011.
This is the culmination of study days in Israel, with over 300 women and men studying in Hebrew, English, Russian, and Spanish. Speakers will include: Israel Prize winner Professor Alice Shalavi, the mentor of the women’s study days, Rabbi David Golinkin, president of the Schechter Institute, Rabbis Tamar Elad-Appelbaum, Shira Israel, Sandra Kochman, Diana Villa, Serena Eisenberg, and many other outstanding women scholars from around the country.
