 lebrate Earth Day with an engaging and solutions-focused panel discussion 
 on climate change and environmental sustainability.\n\nThis program will p
 resent factual insights and highlight innovative solutions being developed
  by entrepreneurs\, researchers\, and corporations working to address envi
 ronmental challenges. Panelists will explore what is currently possible\, 
 what still needs to be done\, and how each of us can contribute to protect
 ing and preserving our planet.\n&nbsp\;\nBuilding on our February 2024 pro
 gram featuring meteorologist Mark Papier and Mirele Goldsmith of the Jewis
 h Earth Alliance\, this conversation continues to deepen our understanding
  while focusing on actionable outcomes.\n&nbsp\;\nWhat You’ll Learn:\n\n

  where action is still needed\n 	Practical ways individuals can make a dif
 ference\n\nFeatured Speakers:\nYosef Abramowitz&nbsp\;is a human rights ac
 tivist\, educator and entrepreneur. Nominated three times for the Nobel Pe
 ace Prize\, Abramowitz is recognized as a pioneer of the solar energy indu
 stry in Israel and East Africa. He was named by CNN as one of the six top 
 global “Green Pioneers” and by PV Tech as one of the world’s most in
 spiring solar CEOs. Josef is co-founder of the Arava Power Company\, which
  built the first grid- connected solar field in Israel\, in May 2012 close
 d on $220 million for the next eight solar fields in Israel\, in April 201
 3 closed on another 40 MW project\, with a further $2 billion worth of pro
 jects in the pipeline. His life’s work was featured on CNN’s “The Ne
 xt List” with Dr. Sanjay Gupta.\n&nbsp\;\nShani Mink&nbsp\;is a seasoned
  farmer\, experiential Jewish educator and the executive director of the J
 ewish Farmer Network. For over a decade Shani has been working on farms up
  and down the east coast and abroad as a field hand\, educator\, manager a
 nd consultant including stints at Even’ Star Organic Farm\, the Arava In
 stitute\, Hava V’Adam\, Eden Village Camp\, Adamah\, and the Pearlstone 
 Center. Her work with the land has deepened her spiritual path\, and the w
 isdom of the Jewish tradition has lent endless meaning and intention to he
 r work as a farmer. Shani’s desire to share the depth and beauty of the 
 connection between farming and Judaism led her to co-found the Jewish Farm
 er Network with SJ Seldin in 2017. The cultivation of this network is Shan
 i's proudest accomplishment to date.\n&nbsp\;\nRabbi Ed Rosenthal is the f
 ounder and CEO of Repair the Sea | Tikkun HaYam\, the only Jewish environm
 ental organization that focuses solely on water and the aquatic environmen
 t. The Mission of Repair the Sea is to share the spiritual wonders of wate
 r and the Sea from a Jewish perspective\, promote interfaith harmony and c
 ooperation\, and raise awareness and encourage action to address the many 
 threats facing the aquatic environment. Before founding Repair the Sea\, E
 d was a congregational rabbi for twelve years in New Zealand and Texas\, f
 ollowed by twenty-three years with Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campu
 s Life. He spent two years as the Campus Rabbi at Emory University\, eight
  years as the Executive Director of Cornell University Hillel\, and then t
 hirteen years as the Hillel Regional Director in Tampa Bay. He is a recipi
 ent of Hillel International’s Richard M. Joel Exemplar of Excellence awa
 rd and the AIPAC Ally of the Year award. He also served as a chaplain in t
 he US Navy Reserve with the rank of lieutenant from 1983-1991.\n\nEd and h
 is wife Mindy\, met in elementary school in St. Louis\, Missouri\, and wen
 t to prom together in high school. They have three children (two by birth 
 and one by marriage) and two grandchildren. Ed and Mindy live in St. Peter
