Rabbi Cella will discuss thi s through Torah study. Come and learn why we are commanded by God to care for our earth.\n\nZoom link will be sent upon registering.\n\nBio\nRabbi M argie Cella is a dynamic second-career rabbi. After retiring from a 30-yea r career as a high school mathematics teacher\, she began her rabbinic stu dies at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. She received her ordin ation in 2019\, along with an MA degree in Bible.\n\nShe also holds an MA degree from SUNY at Stony Brook and a BS degree from Hofstra University.\n \nRabbi Cella is a member of the Rabbinical Assembly of America\, the New York Board of Rabbis\, and the Suffolk Board of Rabbis\, and the Jewish Sp eakers’ Bureau\, as well as the New York State Retired United Teachers ’ Association.  \;\n\nShe is currently the rabbi of the Jewish Cente r of the Moriches in Center Moriches\, NY\, as well as an educator for the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism. She previously served as inter im rabbi for Congregation Agudas Israel in Newburgh\, NY.\n\nRabbi Cella i s a dynamic\, inspirational teacher and speaker\, and she enjoys sharing t he teachings of Judaism with audiences of all ages. She is especially inte rested in text study\, and has a special interest in all things related to Mathematics\, including Gematria.\n\nShe also loves to travel and explore new places\, and to take in Broadway shows.\n\nRabbi Cella’s first book \, Hindsight is 2020: Torah Lessons from a Turbulent Time\, is being publi shed in November\, 2023. It is a book of daily Torah commentaries chronicl ing the year from March\, 2020 through March\, 2021. The book is a reflect ion of her love of biblical exegesis\, and her desire to inspire others to delve into the mysteries of the Torah.
