 rch 17th 1:00 PM ET\nTHE TIMES THEY WERE A-CHANGING—Jews and 1960s Movie
  Musicals\n&nbsp\;\nThe 1960s was a tumultuous decade marked by major soci
 al and political change\, including the Vietnam War\, the Civil Rights Mov
 ement\, the emergence of a widespread counterculture\, and unprecedented p
 rotests against the status quo.\n&nbsp\;\nDuring the 1960s\, the film indu
 stry slowly adapted to these changing times\, but Hollywood musicals remai
 ned popular.\n&nbsp\;\n\n\nAs they did since the birth of Hollywood\, Jews
  shaped the art of cinema including the film musical.\n&nbsp\;\nThis cours
 e will explore the contributions made by Jewish writers\, composers\, dire
 ctors\, and stars to the many 1960s Hollywood musicals.\n\n\n&nbsp\;\nSome
  of the films explored will include: Bells Are Ringing\, My Fair Lady\, Fu
 nny Girl\, Hello Dolly\, Mary Poppins\, and The Sound of Music.\n\n&nbsp\;
 \nEach standalone session will explore different films and their creators.
