 HURSDAY\, DECEMBER 8TH\n6:00 PM - 7:30 PM\n&nbsp\;\nJoin us on zoom to lea
 rn with Dr. Neil Hammerschlag\, marine ecologist and world-renowned shark 
 researcher\, and raise awareness about the deep Jewish connection to water
  and reinforce the urgent moral imperative of water conservation.\n&nbsp\;
 \nDr. Neil Hammerschlag (@DrNeilHammers) is a marine ecologist and world-r
 enowned&nbsp\;shark researcher.&nbsp\;Neil’s research centers on the beh
 avioral ecology of marine top predators under global change. His current r
 esearch activities focus on determining the biophysical drivers\, ecosyste
 m impacts and conservation implications of large shark movements exposed t
 o urbanization\, overfishing and climate change. Neil is also the owner of
  Atlantic Shark Expeditions\, which provides unparalleled opportunities fo
 r people to safely experience\, discover\, and help protect the wonders of
  sharks. He currently&nbsp\;also serves as a Research Associate Professor 
 and Director of the Shark Research &amp\; Conservation Program at the Univ
 ersity of Miami. Neil received a B.S. in Ecology from the University of To
 ronto\, Canada\, in 2002\, and his M.S. in Marine Biology from Nova Southe
 astern University in Florida\, in 2004. He completed his Ph.D. in Marine B
 iology &amp\; Fisheries from the Rosenstiel School of Marine &amp\; Atmosp
 heric Science at the University of Miami in 2009.&nbsp\;\n&nbsp\;\n&nbsp\;
