DESCRIPTION:שיחןת בין אחיות\,&nbsp\;Sichot beyn Achayot\, mean
 s “Conversations between Sisters.” This program is designed to foster 
 a deeper mutual understanding between the members of WLCJ in North America
  and the Masorti women from Israel. It is designed to address the question
 \, “How are we the same\, and how are we different?” The theme of this

 in Israel\nThe three sessions will each concentrate on one specific aspect
  of the important connections we all have with the land of Israel and will
  include presentations from speakers from both sides of the Atlantic. Each
  workshop will also include an opportunity for all attendees to become par
 t of the conversation.\n&nbsp\;\n\nSession Two\nSunday\, November 24\, 202

 mmortal words of Yehuda haLevi seem more relevant today than ever before. 
 How has the relationship&nbsp\;between North American Jews and Israel chan
 ged/become more important post Oct 7?\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGuest Speakers:\n\n\n\n
 \nRabbi Chaya Rowen Baker\nDean\, The Schechter Rabbinical Seminary | Orda
 ined in 2007 by the Schechter Rabbinical Seminary\, Rabbi Rowen Baker has 
 served\, since her ordination\, as the rabbi of Kehillat Ramot-Zion in Fre
 nch Hill\, Jerusalem. Ramot Zion\, a flagship Masorti congregation\, is ho
 me to many Israelis in search of a meaningful connection to Jewish traditi
 on in a rapidly changing world. For the past eight years\, she has served 
 as Coordinator of Practical Rabbinics at SRS.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRakefet Gin
 sberg is the first woman to serve as CEO &amp\; Executive Director of the 
 Masorti Movement in Israel. She previously served as the Movement’s Depu
 ty Director\, until 2017. She joined the Masorti staff immediately followi
 ng her return as a Jewish Agency emissary to the Milwaukee Jewish communit
 y in the United States\, undertaking the challenging role of Director of C
 ongregational Development.\n\nShe has extensive experience in community wo
 rk\, crisis intervention and management\, and supporting communities in na
 tional trauma\, as well as facilitating processes for change in organizati
 ons and communities.\n\n\n\n\nIn 2021 she spearheaded the strategic planni
 ng process for Masorti Judaism in Israel\, together with the Movement's ma
 jor partners.\nRakefet serves as chairperson of the Counseling Center for 
 Women and was previously a board member of the Schechter Rabbinical Semina
 ry. In recent years\, she led a team of therapists and facilitators in dev
 eloping community resilience and group interventions within the Community 
 Unit at NATAL (Israel Trauma and Resiliency Center).\nRakefet holds a BA a
 nd MA in Social Work from Tel Aviv University. She is a 2nd-generation tza
 barit: her grandparents came to Israel from Iran and from Hungary.\nRakefe
 t is married to Ariel and is a mother of three sons\, Itamar\, Amitay and 
 Evyatar.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSarrae G. Crane\, grew up on Long Island\, where
  she was active in USY\, spending summers at Camp Ramah and on USY summer 
 programs. She is a graduate of Barnard College and obtained advanced degre
 es in Jewish studies from Brandeis and Columbia. She has devoted her caree
 r to serving the Jewish community: working for the American Zionist Youth 
 Foundation\, the American ZionistMovement and later wore many hats at Unit
 ed Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. For several years she directed the a
 nnual General Assembly of the Jewish Federations of North America and was 
 the executive of Women’s League for Conservative Judaism. Currently\, sh
 e is the executive of Mercaz USA\, the Conservative Movement’s Zionist a
 rm.&nbsp\;\n\n\n\n\nAmy Skopp Copper is the Chief Executive Officer of the
  National Ramah Commision (NRC). She served as director of the Ramah Day C
 amp in Nyack\, NY\, from 1997-2017. Previously\, she served as the educati
 on director of Congregation B’nai Israel in Millburn\, NJ\, and as Jewis
 h educators assistant director of the Prozdor high school program at Hebre
 w College in Boston. A graduate of Hebrew University in Jerusalem\, Amy ho
 lds degrees in Jewish history and Jewish education. She received her maste
 r’s degree from Brandeis University in Jewish education and communal ser
 vice. Amy is a recipient of the 2011 Covenant Award for outstanding.\n&nbs
 p\;\n\n\n\n\nIn addition\, Pam Schlosberg and Linda Wolf from CGLR\, along
  with Leslie Ratner and Elisabeth Grun from their sister synagogue Hod veH
 adar in Kfar Saba\, Israel will share with us their experiences in the WLC
