DESCRIPTION:[This Program is scheduled on Eastern Time Zone]\n\n“We adopt
  the means of nonviolence because our end is a community at peace with its
 elf. We will try to persuade with our words\, but if our words fail\, we w
 ill try to persuade with our acts.”\n– Martin Luther King Jr.\n\nPleas
 e join us on Monday\, January 15th\, on Martin Luther King Jr. Day\, as we
  explore the history of the Civil Rights Movement taking place in the 1950
 s and 1960s. It was an organized effort by Black Americans to end racial d
 iscrimination and gain equal rights under the law. Many people of conscien
 ce\, from all races and faiths\, were a part of this movement\, including 
 the Jewish community.\n\nThis is the second program in a series that will 
 examine in depth the Civil Rights movement. Each program is a standalone p
 rogram which can be attended individually or as part of the series. At the
  end of the series Women’s League will sponsor the trip Voices of Change
 : A WLCJ Civil Rights Pilgrimage. ALL&nbsp\;WLCJ members are invited to at
 tend these programs\, regardless of whether they intend to participate in
