  used this coping mechanism to persevere and thrive.\n\nFrom the Yiddish T
 heater to the Borscht Belt\, they created entertainment for themselves\; h
 owever\, it was only through the medium of television that they were given
  the opportunity to share their humor and comedy with the whole world and 
 especially in the audience’s own living rooms.\n\nThrough film clips\, t
 his course will explore the history and role of Jewish entertainers in tel
