Organization summary:
Our Mission/Purpose Statement: To ensure that no Jewish patient or family faces terminal illness alone. We help those we serve gain access to the needed resources compatible with their own Jewish identity, practice, and values.

JHCN works with all hospices throughout Southeast Michigan, medical care providers, hospital systems, and senior living facilities to offer supportive care while adding the Jewish component to palliative and hospice care. Every individual/family facing incurable illness has its own unique needs and we want to meet every patient on their terms. Our compassionate care team includes: rabbis, social workers, nurse practitioners, doctors, music therapists and volunteers who are all dedicated to our clients and who work to ensure that our patients get the best care possible.

In addition to spiritual care and navigating the health care landscape, JHCN has created an innovative pathway to enhance the quality of life for both our home-bound palliative care and hospice patients. Our Life Enrichments Program, in memory of Sylvia and Samuel Babcock (z’l) offers include: Art, Massage & Reflexology, Music, a life review and memoir writing project, Pet Visits, Salon Services, and Tai Chi.
