Each student will be provided a virtual copy of Shalom Aleichem\, by Noah Golinkin\, for use in the clas s\n\nLEVEL 2 Class: This course focuses on increasing understanding and fl uency in your reading. \;\n\n You must know all of the Hebrew letters and vowels to take this class.\n Students will continue to refine their reading skills by learning blessings for Friday evening\, several kaddishe s\, and many Shabbat morning \;prayers\, all while emphasizing underst anding and reading fluency.\n\nLEVEL 3 Class: This course focuses on incre asing understanding and fluency in your reading.\n\n You must be proficie nt at reading\, sounding out few words\, to take this class.\n Students w ill improve their fluency through the following prayers: ashrei\, the musa f Amidah\, aleinu\, the v’ahavtah and following paragraphs\, and many ot her prayers for holidays.\n\nLEVEL 4 Class: This course focuses on reading the weekly Torah portion from the chumash to build biblical and prayer vo cabulary.\n\n Students must be proficient at reading.\n This class is in tended for students who have successfully completed WLCJ’s Level 3 Hebre w class.\n\nNew Trope Class!\nTROPE Class: This course teaches the musical cantillation notes for chanting Torah and Haftorah. This class is NOT int ended for members of the current Bat Mitzvah class.\n\n Students must be proficient at reading.\n This class is intended for students who are more advanced than our Level 3 Hebrew class.\n\nRegistration confirms your des ire to take the class\; however it does not guarantee your placement in th e class. A minimum of 6 students is required for each class.
