 the Masorti Movement
DESCRIPTION:[This Program is scheduled on Eastern Time Zone]\n\n\nJoin us f
 or a look into a very successful program happening in Israel now. The WLCJ
  Inclusion and WLCJ Mishpachah Committees present the amazing Adraba progr
 am in Israel\, which prepares young adults with special needs for their Ba
 r/Bat Mitzvah ceremony. The Masorti Movement in Israel operates the only p
 rogram of its kind in Israel\, and it is open to children from all religio
 us streams and affiliations. It is a hidden gem that not everyone knows ab
 out\, and we would love to share it with our vast Conservative community i
 n North America and spread the word. \n&nbsp\;\nOur esteemed panelists are
  Dr. Gila Vogel\, one of the founders of the program\, and Marianella Krei
 man\, who serves as the Director of this unique program recognized worldwi
 de. They will be introduced by Wendy Keter\, who serves as chair of the Ad
 raba program. \n&nbsp\;\nThis&nbsp\;program will not be recorded. Members 
 must attend in real time in order to participate.\n&nbsp\;\n\nBios\n&nbsp\
 ;\nWendy Keter\, Director Emerita\, Raphael Recanati International School\
 , Reichman University \nWendy made Aliyah from Philadelphia at age 18 and 
 holds a B.A. in Political Science and Jewish Philosophy from Hebrew Univer
 sity and an MSW in Community Organization from Howard University. She has 
 over 45 years of experience developing and directing social and communal p
 rograms in Israel\, including work with young adult immigrants and a natio
 nal women’s health initiative at the Jewish Agency for Israel. \nWendy p
 reviously served as Aliyah shlicha and Director of the Midwest Israel Aliy
 ah Center and now continues in an advisory role at Reichman University\, a
 ssisting with student recruitment in the U.S. and Europe. \nActive in the 
 Masorti Movement\, Wendy serves on the board of Havurat Tel Aviv and chair
 s the education committee and Adraba program at the national level. She is
  married to Avi\, has two children\, and is a grandmother of five.\n&nbsp\
 ;\nMarianella Kreiman\, Director\, Adraba\nMarianella\, originally from Co
 lombia and formerly of Chile\, made Aliyah with her family 18 years ago an
 d now resides in Ra’anana\, Israel. She is married to Alejandro and has 
 two daughters\, Susan and Amanda. \nA special education teacher by trainin
 g\, Marianella has extensive experience in Jewish community work\, includi
 ng youth coordination and Bar/Bat Mitzvah education. She combines her pass
 ions for working with children with disabilities and preparing young peopl
 e for Bar and Bat Mitzvah through her role as Director of the Adraba Progr
 am\, recognized internationally. \nMarianella was also part of the team th
 at created the accessible siddur Bechol Drachecha\, with a second edition 
 coming soon.\nDr. Gila Vogel\, Co-Founder\, Adraba \nDr. Vogel grew up in 
 New York and holds a BA in Psychology from Barnard College\, an MS in Spec
 ial Education from Ferkauf Graduate School of Education\, a BHL from the J
 ewish Theological Seminary\, and a PhD from Haifa University. She directed
  the Tikvah Program at Camp Ramah in Wisconsin\, served as Director of Spe
 cial Education in Southern New Jersey\, and was a senior lecturer at Beit 
 Berl College in Israel. \nGila is a co-founder of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah Prog
 ram for Children with Disabilities (Adraba) and has been active in the pro
 gram for over 30 years. She also contributed to the accessible siddur Bech
 ol Drachecha and co-founded the Kol Kore website\, featuring Haftarot reco
 rdings and Torah teaching resources.\nGila and her husband\, Rabbi Dov Vog
 el\, are active in Hod V’Hadar Masorti Synagogue in Kfar Saba and are pr
