 oster a deeper mutual understanding between the Masorti women in Israel an
 d those in other countries around the globe. It is designed to address the
  question\, “How are we the same\, and how are we different?” The them

 ee sessions will each concentrate on one specific aspect of the contempora
 ry quest for peace both personal and universal and will include presentati
 ons from speakers in both North America and Israel.\n&nbsp\;\n\nSunday\, S

 er peace\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n\nGod commands us to love the stranger because we o
 urselves were strangers in Egypt. But we must learn to love ourselves firs
 t. This session takes place during Aseret Yemei Teshuvah\, between Rosh Ha
 shanah and Yom Kippur. As we make our peace with God\, how do we also make
  peace with ourselves? And how does one find peace after serving in the ID
 F?&nbsp\; \n\n&nbsp\;\n\n\nSpeakers: \nRabbi Dr. Haviva Ner-David&nbsp\;is
  a rabbi\, writer\, and activist\, as well as spiritual companion\, mikveh
  specialist\, and rabbinic founder of Shmaya: A Mikveh for Mind\, Body\, a
 nd Soul\, on Kibbutz HannatonShe&nbsp\;was ordained privately in 2010 by R
 abbi Aryeh Strikovsky\, an&nbsp\;Orthodox rabbi in Jerusalem\, and then ag
 ain in 2016 at One Spirit Interfaith Seminary in&nbsp\;NYC\, where she stu
 died in both the ministry and spiritual direction programs. Haviva is&nbsp
 \;also trained in Dream Work\, Nature Soul Retrieval Work\, and Thanatolog
 y (the study of death and dying). Calling herself a post-denominational in
 ter-spiritual rabbi\, her specialty is in mikveh and spiritual direction--
 often\, but not always\, combining the two. Haviva is the author of two no
 vels and three&nbsp\;memoirs\, and the only children's book about mikveh\;
  she is now working on a fourth memoir about her experiences as a peace an
 d shared society activist in Israel-Palestine since October 7th.&nbsp\;Hav
 iva is&nbsp\;the founding rabbinic director of Shmaya: a Mikveh for Mind\,
  Body\, and Soul – the only mikveh in Israel open to all to immerse as t
 hey choose – where she officiates and creates full body immersion ceremo
 nies\, teaches\, and facilitates workshops. Her main current activist affi
 liations are with Standing Together\, Rabbis for Human Rights\, and Spirit
  of the Galilee. Haviva was born&nbsp\;with a degenerative genetic muscula
 r&nbsp\;disease that has been both the biggest challenge and blessing of h
 er life\, and she and her life partner\, Jacob\, are&nbsp\;the parents of 
 seven children (six biological and one adopted) and have a dog and a cat. 
 She lives in the Galilee\, on Kibbutz Hannaton.\n&nbsp\;\nRabbi Dr. Jenny 
 Solomon currently serves as a rabbi at Beth Meyer Synagogue as well as the
  founding director of&nbsp\;Libi Eir&nbsp\;Awakened Heart Community Mikveh
  in Raleigh\, North Carolina\, where she compassionately inspires her cong
 regants as they navigate their Jewish journeys.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;She also serv
 es as the Spiritual Director for the Hartman Beit Midrash for a New North 
 American Rabbinate.&nbsp\;Rabbi Solomon received her undergraduate degree 
 from Brown University\, was ordained from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Inst
 itute of Religion\, and completed a doctorate in counseling from the Postg
 raduate Center for Mental Health in New York City. She is a proud member o
 f the board of directors of the Institute for Jewish Spirituality (IJS) fr
 om which she received certification as a teacher of Jewish Mindfulness Med
 itation. She has spent extensive time studying in Israel and was awarded a
  Wexner Fellowship. The proud mother of Meirav\, Adi and Natan\, Rabbi Sol
 omon also loves to run\, practice yoga\, and ride her Peloton bike!&nbsp\;
 \n\n\n\n\nCarly Coons has a passion for integrating mental wellness and Ju
 daism into communities with intention. She is the Director of Programming 
 and Resiliency Roundtable at BeWell of the Jewish Federations of North Ame
 rica. Carly has found her home in the Jewish community\, having worked in 
 synagogue life\, youth programming\, and Jewish overnight camping througho
 ut her career. Carly’s work is enriched by her education as a Licensed S
 ocial Worker (LSW)\, Jewish educator\, Youth and Teen Mental Health First 
 Aid instructor\, and naloxone administration instructor. Carly lives in De
 nver\, where she’s recharged and inspired by exploring the mountains and
  live music in Colorado’s beautiful outdoor venues.\n\nStaff Sergeant (R
 es.) Rachel Landress\, Lone Soldier\, originally from the United States\, 
 served as a combat sniper in a co-ed unit along Israel’s southern border
 s\, completing over two years of active duty in the Israel Defense Forces.
  As a lone soldier\, she distinguished herself through operational excelle
 nce and leadership under pressure\, earning the prestigious President’s 
 Excellence Award in 2024 and a team Medal of Honor for her role in Operati
 on Iron Swords. Ms. Landress is a graduate of Norwich University\, the old
 est private military college in the United States\, and a former resident 
 of Kibbutz Urim in southern Israel. She is currently pursuing a master’s
  degree in Counterterrorism and Intelligence at Reichman University\, wher
 e she focuses on the intersection of national security\, intelligence stra
 tegy\, and conflict resolution. Drawing on her unique military background\
 , academics\, research\, and cross-cultural experience\, Ms. Landress offe
 rs informed and thoughtful insight into the complexities of regional secur
 ity and peace-building. Her work highlights the evolving role of women in 
 combat and national defense\, and underscores the importance of inclusive\
 , collaborative leadership in fostering long-term stability and addressing
  today’s most pressing security challenges.\n\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nIn this sess
