Israel Update - March 14, 2012
We are all concerned about the escalation of rocket fire in Israel's south. The Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, of which Women's League is a member, has issued an update on the situation. Israel Consul General in New York, Ambassador Ido Aharoni briefed the Conference on Sunday. The following comes from a summary of that briefing. click here

Women's League Joins Major Mainstream Religious Leaders to Support the White House on Contraceptive Coverage
Women’s League for Conservative Judaism joins with major mainstream religious leaders in support of the January 20, 2012 announcement by the Department of Health and Human Services that contraceptive services must be covered by most insurance policies without deductibles or co-pays, and that only purely sectarian organizations are exempt from this requirement. click here
