Partial Scholarships for Conservative Leaders

Through the Conservative Movement’s Sustainable Synagogues Initiative – of which Women’s League is a member – partial scholarships will be provided for three Conservative leaders – lay or ordained. Regular tuition for the program is $1,500. Scholarships will allow three Conservative leaders to receive a 50% tuition scholarship, bringing the cost to $750, which covers all educational and food/lodging-related costs. Fellows are responsible for their own transportation to and from the three Fellowship retreats, which are held in the mid-Atlantic region.

Innovative Education and Training

The program consists of three three-day retreats focused on religious-environmental education and worship, “green” consumption and facility management, and environmental justice. Fellows participate in monthly webinars and read about religious-environmentalism from a range of perspectives. Each Fellow writes his or her own eco-theological statement and carries out a leadership project in his or her own community.

The new class of Fellows who will join over 70 Jewish, Christian and Muslim Fellows as part of a national network of religious-environmental leaders.
